Looking up Enumeration Districts in Cities Like NY?
I’m familiar with Roots, Ancestry, LCS FHC, and Cyndi’s List and Stephen Morse Website. I was wondering if there is any relatively easy way using a searchable online site to look up Enumeration Districtricts by city and census (included state census)?
So for example, if I want to know the ED for 257 Stockton in 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930 is there any one stop site that can do this for me quickly and simply…or must I do this the long way?
No, the districts changed as the population density shifted. Further, the idea of digitizing the censuses is great, but it’s very tedious and the project (already in its 10th year) is more than 15 years from completion. You’re many years ahead of the transcribers.
