ANCESTRY DNA TEST Asian or Native?
Hi
I am curous, I recently heard that 12% Native American on
a DNA ancestry test could mean Asian also.
That middle east possibly carries some Native American Markers in
select people. Is this right?
My Euro did say 15% middle eastern and 12% Southern European.
I AM HALF ARUBAN/AMERICAN(OKLAHOMA)
Not surprising, considering that even the Native Americans were not REALLY native to this country. When the Bering Strait was frozen thousands and thousands of years ago, it created a “bridge” or cross over place where Asians and Europeans of that time period crossed over it and migrated down into the Americas. Eventually, this water way thawed out and was no longer “crossable” by foot. Fast forward a few thousand years, and Europeans cross the Atlantic and find the Native Americans here, and viola! It was assumed the Native Americans were a different, separate race of people never seen before. In reality, they were descendants of very, very, ancient Asians and Europeans. What sets them apart, however, is that they did not “advance” like the Asians and Eurpoeans did in industry and technology, building large ships, creating advance forms of weapons, homes, and other things, thus is why when the Europeans came over, the Native Americans seemed to be a very primative race of people, and were treated as sub-human, and sub-intelligent. But, as history shows, the only thing they could not survive was the Europeans. They had survived for thousands of years by their primitive methods before the Europeans came. I guess they lived by the old moto “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Whatever they were doing in regards to their lifestyle, it was working for them, as it had for thousands of years. I am sure my 11th great-grandfather, Chief Powhatan would agree.
