What do people think of the fact that Eva Longoria is genetically 70% White/European?
Recently, I watched a show called Faces of America where Eva Longoria took a DNA test which revealed that although she is of Mexican ancestry, her GENETIC ancestry is actually 70% White (Spanish), 27% Native American, and 3% African.
These results did not surprise me at all. She basically looks like a Mestiza who is dominated by Spanish rather than Indian blood. To me, she could even pass as a pure Southern European such as an Italian, a Portuguese, or a Spaniard.
Why then was Eva Longoria and everyone else so surprised at the obvious?

Because people don’t realise that Latino is NOT a race…its an ethnicity,
As for her being 70% European, that isn’t surprising. Her family isn’t descended from peasants and labourers like most Mexicans are. Rather, her family has been large landowners for the last 300 years. Most Landowners in Latin America are White, not people of colour, so it’s no surprise to me that she’s mostly White.
Edit: To the delusional mexican above me, the overwheming majority of Latin Americans don’t have mainly White blood. Mexico itself is 30% Indigenous and 60% Mestizo, but only 9% White; Indigenous people outnumber Whites by a 3 to 1 margin, Whites were NEVER a majority in Latin America.
