I am having trouble finding any information on the surname Moschgat. I’d like to know its country of origin. If anyone can help I’d greatly appreciate it, I’ve checked all the usual sources like ancestry.com and geneology.com and so on.

Are you a Moschgat living in the US? There are 3 families with this name living in PA in the 1920 census. The parents were born in Germany, Austria and Silesia. If you want to know where your ancestors migrated from, you will have to do the research. Or you can post the names of the oldest Moschgats in your line and someone will coma along to help.
