How I can trace the Italian descent?
I have ancestors who come from Italy Carfizzi Bisceglie and I really want to know the history of the family, but im having some problems. What is the best way for me to trace. Any website or database?
There are plenty of web sites Italian you can use. From Carfizzi (Calabria) and Bisceglie (Puglia) are both in the south, must have a large number of records available. If you are familysearch.org (LDS) you can find the microfilm numbers for those areas and for them for display. One of the good things Napoleon in Italy, the requirement to keep records duplicate. Moreover, being a Catholic above all the parishes in these areas also have records. I have found these sites that can help you: www.italywgw.org www.daddezio.com www.italiangenealogy.tardio.com www.Daddezio.com / www.anzwers.org italgen.html / free / italiangen www.italiamerica.org www.italiamia.com / gene.html And the lack of certain Standard sites: www.ellisisland.org www.ancestry.com www.castlegarden.org www.familysearch.org
