Possible Irish ancestry?????
Is it possible that i might have irish ancestry, because my great grand mothers maiden name is Regant and she has red hair. how ever it would be weird seein that my family are Russian Jews. i also know that Regant is not a Russian or Jewish surname.
There is a good chance you have an Irish heritage if her last name was Regant. However red hair does not come from Ireland, but from the Saxon Vikings who inter-married into the Irish culture. Red hair comes from the Norse culture.
