Working in the UK?

My wife and I are going to spend six months living and working in the United Kingdom, ancestry visas between April and October both are professionals (accountant / social worker). Where is a good place to look for temporary work? We are flexible in terms of location, but the time we can find a job! We both experienced qualified Australia for many years.

Try the local newspaper. My local paper always has a lot temporary jobs and permanent advertising on it.
