Madden performed his conviction in federal jail near Eglin Air Force Base. This prison was close to his mum’s home at Boca Raton, Florida. He served his conviction and was released in April 2005. Then he needed to go to New York City halfway house. Making a report to the public press, Joel Winograd, his lawyer, articulated that Madden would remain there for 60 days and after discharge would be restricted to his house.
In the year 2006 Steve Madden, Ltd. was proclaimed “Company of the Year” by Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City on Dec. 5, 2006. While receiving the prize, Madden said he regards the prize as a stepping stone to better his company’s’ aura.
Now, Steve Madden’s name is equal with triumph. He is now extending into garment and other accoutrements such as dresses, handbags, belts, sun wear, cold weather, outerwear and hosiery. Presently he is seeing forward for a new future.
