My Ancestry.com Subcription is about to run out for the year, will they make me a good offer before it renews?
I need to know from those who have renewed membership before, if I cancel my membership before the experation date will they send me a cheaper offer to get me back as a subscriber? Do they normally contact you before the end of your year and make you an offer or do they automatically just debit your credit card for the $150.00? How soon before the last date do you need to cancel to keep them from debiting your card? Can you resign up then again at any time in the future?
No you don’t get any special offers from them. I have been a member for a long time now, when it was due to run out about two years ago I didn’t get any notification, but when I contacted them they said they had notified me via email.
I had been paying my account via ancestry.co.uk up until three months ago, I now pay it through ancestry.com and it saves me about £7:50 a month.
