Family Tree Maker 2008 – Is there a decent manual?
I asked the editor and the package includes a little cheese book on how to do genealogy. He called me to ask if there is a manual and said that only by paying another $ 20 +. Can you believe it, seems to be selling the software as a loss leader for its website. Has anyone bought the manual or is there a way to download? Is it good? How detailed is, or is the index? By the way, I'm not talking about the issues little help built into the software will tell I guess little you can not find out yourself.
Unfortunately, I think these people have a real dog program in their hands. Until FTM16, had great capacity report, then dumping appear in this important feature. Possibly for all functions reporting have to go through them. Supposedly it has interesting search functions, and the only person I know who uses it, not all hard work FTM16 and FTM2008 searches. But I know no one likes. I expect to draw more money until you train the dog to do some decent tricks. Do not be afraid to make Legacy, Roots Magic, or The Master Genealogist free trials. Good luck …
