How can I put this in a family tree?
I began researching my family tree, so I'm a bit new at this. Anyway, my grandmother and her sister married two brothers (one of them my grandfather, and the other is my great uncle). How do you go about drawing that? I'm trying to include uncles and cousins in the line, not only my direct descendants. Any ideas? Oh Geez, I did not expect so many helpful answers, I do not know who will collect. Therefore, I have to put this to a vote, I hope you do not care. Thanks for your help!
Snap! My grandmother and her sister also married two brothers. I have to dredge my memory to remember what I did in the days before computer programs tree. I do not think I tried to include all relations in a tree. As my grandfather was one of 15 children (who happened to have 37 children among them), it was quite difficult to incorporate on a single sheet of A3, without trying to fit the family of my grandmother as well. So I had separate pages for each of the families of my grandparents, my grandparents and their children appearing on the two pages (double-uncle and aunt and their children also displayed twice, once on every page). As I got further back than was necessary to add more pages A3 to show in detail each branch, and there is some overlap of people between the leaves (lol). I also made a pedigree chart that just show all my direct ancestors, and this method worked quite well for me. I do not know how well you understood my relatives, the few who showed interest in my work it is. One of the cousins of my mother from the maternal line married a cousin of the father's side, and they and their children also appear twice, on each sheet.
