I need help on my family tree?

I have two points in my family tree where I am stuck. Need parents of David Elmer Rench b. 1874 m. Ellen M. Sloan b. 1874 Also need parents and the birth / death date of George W. Sloan b.1852 m. Sloan Elizabeth b.1851 George was from the Indiana / Kentucky area. His wife was Mary L. Ohio / PA area

There are 10 people called David Rench in the 1880 census but the date of birth to the age 1878. There are 67 people named Ellen Sloan in the 1880 census, one born around 1873, 2 was born about 1874 in Pennsylvania and Iowa, born about 1875 in January in North Carolina. You really need to give a location. Now do not expect to find the exact date of birth. The only way you can find that if someone has an old family Bible that someone recorded the date birth. Alternatively, if they belonged to a religious faith that had infant baptism, then baptism could have the date of birth. We need location. People just do not have birth certificates so far behind. Many states do not register births and deaths and issue certificates to the first part of the 20th century. There a few states that began in the 19th century. In Texas that began in 1903 and were in front of a lot of states. It was not until after World War 2 adopted a specific law to file information is recorded and sent to the Office of Vital Statistics. Before that a lot of people born in home or died at his home are not registered. A person can be enrolled in school, get a job, enlist in the military, get a social security number and have no birth certificate. My own parents were born in 1907 and 1908 was delayed birth certificates to get Social Security when they became 65.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas (1998) [VHS]

$0.89

The question the video We Wish You a Merry Christmas sets out to answer isn’t exactly on the order of the chicken and the egg in terms of head-scratchers, but it’s a worthy one nonetheless. And because it’s put to the audience by the country singer Travis Tritt, it’ll be that much more compelling for some viewers. “How did Christmas carols come to be?” asks the twangy crooner, disguised as a sleig…

Pride & Prejudice

Pride & Prejudice

Literary adaptations just don’t get any better than director Joe Wright’s 2005 version of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. The key word here is adaptation, because Wright and gifted screenwriter Deborah Moggach have taken liberties with Austen’s classic novel that purists may find objectionable, but in this exquisite film their artistic decisions are entirely justified and exceptionally well execu…
