How do you account for half brothers and a family tree?
When you are drawing a pedigree in the current "tree" form, two smaller branches representing the parents of a larger branch. But what if, for example, a mother had a child with a parent and then another child with a second father? How can you prove that? I am a breeder of rats and I have to show the mother of other "marriages" because the fact that children had strange eyes means it is likely that the mother was the carrier of the gene I'm looking for. But how will show you step-siblings in a family tree human? Please, any suggestions?
We use a different family group sheet for each couple. That is, if Albert and Alice have children, then they divorce, Claire marries and marries Alice Albert, Bob, and have more children, we develop three family group sheets – A + A, A + C, A + B. I would use a family tree different for each coupling, if necessary.
