hiow I can trace my family tree. im Jewish so some of my relatives must have been in the Holocaust, and all records were destroyed frokm the Holocaust. also some of my family that I did not come from the island two elis abroad. I looked at my name on the site elis island but there were more than 200 namees past. There could also be changed, not surname. How I can know my family tree. help! (-:
Not all Holocaust-related records were destroyed. As far as I know German Nazis kept records minutes of the Jews killed and some of these registers still are somewhere. Just do an Internet search using keywords "records of Auschwitz" and you will find many related sites. An example: http://www.avotaynu.com/holocaust/basics.htm family Sorry for your losses.
