Chuck Berry?
I was lucky to see Chuck Berry recently. Of course he was not able to do the duck walk or rock, including as before. He is 80 years. However, it did a great set of blues. What annoys me is that when I talk to people who are supposedly in rock or heavy metal, have no idea who I'm talking about. And I can not see how that is! Lemme (Motörhead) lists all the individual disks as Chuck be an influence. I'm Motorhead avid fan, but I've heard so Chuck before I heard anything about Motorhead. It's like climbing a tree. Chuck Berry, The Ramones, Motorhead …. How can people be in Slayer and Megadeth and Metallica and all these popular bands not know who Chuck Berry? The mind is amazing and very frustrating!
People forget Part of the artists who inspired the music and the artist that they enjoy today. I am as guilty as anyone of the same, but the love of Chuck Berry. Although he was a bit perverted (google peeing ladies watching Chuck Berry) was strongly influenced by a ton of artists. His style was often imitated, but never mastered. Johnny B Goode "is a song that measure byif guitar players can not play, you have no experience). Their impact is often forgotten, and it's sad, but that is the nature music. I just feel lucky that you have to see and have an appreciation. That makes you deeper than a lot of fans.
