Looking for a city to go?
My husband is graduating soon (as I did) and now we are trying to find a place to live. He goes to the medical field, so you can basically live anywhere where there is a hospital. We want to live somewhere between Idaho and Michigan, but none of the states south. There has to be high mountains, and lots of trees and lakes. We're starting a family, what is more important, must have good schools and family neighborhoods, including low crime rates. And (as if we were not being demanding enough), we would like to live in a place that is not too in the city, but not too far away, such as a city of 15.000 to 30.000. The places that seem to have been the closest are Pennsylvania (I know, not from Idaho and Michigan), Missouri and Minnesota. Any good suggestion in these states or others? I am willing to research as many suggestions as I get, so please do not be shy. Thank you.
I love our small town in upstate New York, all though some complain of taxes. What are NOT New York City. We are pure country life. We have hills, others might call mountains. Fresh air, sun and we are surrounded by the Great Lakes of upstate New York. We are the center of growing grapes in the state of New York. Us have a great community, safe and not afraid to go for a walk at night. The schools are wonderful here and the teachers and parents work well together. If you want check out the Hornell, NY area … Please go ahead. We are small but VERY family.
