Anyone know what the state is brighttree? Census 1930?
I am currently doing a family tree, and I'm looking through the census 1930. I found my great grandfather and I would like to look back more, but I've been beaten with an obstacle. If you are familiar with the information census, they usually add the birthplace of parents of household heads, which generally can lead to some more information. Anyway my grandparents GG sites Birth parents are like Switzerland and The State Brighttree "I'd love to know what this means if anyone has ANY idea. Now, obviously I am obliged to read what someone says about the 1930s, so it may be reading wrong, if you know what also might be, please let me know. In the case is important to my grandfather lived in Lynchburg Tennessee GG at the moment.
It could possibly be the translation of English to one of the 26 Swiss cantons (or provinces) that make the country. A list of them, with the capital city, is in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantons_of_Switzerland etc. Would have been easier if he had put in the names of their family so one of us could have lifted this census, too. =)
