Ulysses S Grant family tree …?

Well, as my grandparents, my family are somehow descendants of Ulysses S. Grant, but I wanted to see for myself. However, I have not been able to find a decent family tree it anywhere, you'd think that in view it was a U.S. president it would be easy, but no luck … The first to post a good link here best answer.

Here there is a link that gives both the ancestry and descendants of Ulysses S. Grant http://library.msstate.edu/usgrant/genealogy.asp You realize that there are now thousands of descendants. You also need to do some tree building to establish the link. Information about life is protected in the U.S. for 72 years so you have to make that link. Years ago, when I taught in California who had a student (name Grant) was a direct descendant. Still I have good memories of him. Once shared private family photos of his ancestor, Ulysses.

The first officer since George Washington to become a four-star general in the United States Army, Ulysses S. Grant was a man who managed to end the Civil War on a note of grace, and was the only president between Andrew Jackson and Woodrow Wilson to serve eight consecutive years in the White House. The son of an Ohio tanner, he has long been remembered as a brilliant general but a failed president whose second term ended in financial and political scandal. But now acclaimed, bestselling author Michael Korda offers a dramatic reconsideration of the man, his life, and his presidency. Ulysses S. Grant is an evenhanded and stirring portrait of a flawed leader who nevertheless ably guided America through a pivotal juncture in its history.
