Any good free genealogy sites?
I previously had access to ancestry.com, but I found their excessive fees.
Your public library is likely that both Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest.com free for anyone to use within the library and a library card must be able to use Heritage Quest at home. Then, there Rootsweb in http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ a free site hosted by Ancestry.com where you can search for surnames, further consultations on the message boards and subscribe to mailing lists surname. Furthermore, no forget to check Cyndi List at the top and genealogist http://www.cyndislist.com/ ProGenealogist 100 websites http://familytreemagazine.com/article/101best2009 both of these sites have many links for both free and fee-based sites.
