Call your nearest Latter Day Saints (Mormon) Church and ask if they have a Family History Center. They have records of people around the world, not just Mormons. In Salt Lake City, have the largest collection genealogical world. Your Family History Center can order microfilm for you to view for a nominal fee. They do not bring their religion and will not send their missionaries to ring the bell. They are very nice and helpful. Also check and see what your local library has. They might have a subscription to Ancestry.Com for use. Ancestry.Com has many records. They have all the U.S. Census 1930. The 1940 is not available to the public yet. They have UK censuses also. Do not take as fact everything you see in family trees on any website, free or paid. They are sent by the user and most of the information is not documented. Even if you see the same information about the same person several times by different people, usually see any of them has documentation which means that people are copying without verifying.
