I need help locating my mom’s siblings?
My mom was adopted forty years ago after the state took her and her two siblings away from her mother because they were being so badly abused. My mom was told by some of her blood relatives that her mom had an additional 6 children after my mom was taken away and they too were taken by the state of Ohio. My mom’s father may also have fathered children we don’t know of.
Can anyone tell me of a good place to do a free search to find them. I tried ancestry and genealogy.com websites and they don’t even have record of my mom’s mom. One of the missing siblings found my mom so I know the name is correct. Please help me find the answers I’m looking for.
Thanks so much!
I’m not male. Thanks
Begin by writing down all the information you have. Including your mom’s birth date, birth place, the hospital she was born at, the agency that handled her adoption, such as the ‘county department of social services’. Include any information about her birth mother that you have (age, birth place, ethnicity, etc.) Since you have contact with your mom’s blood relatives, gather as much information as you can from them.
Add your mom’s details to the following adoption registries:
International Soundex Reunion Registry http://www.isrr.net/
http://registry.adoption.com/
State of Ohio’s adoption Registry

Because your mom was a foster child before being adopted, there are court records about being removed from the custody of her mother which will likely include the names of at least some siblings. She can request a copy of her records – probably from superior court. Contact the court to find out what the fee is for copies of court records and if she’ll need to have her request notarized.
Keep a journal or log of all information you’ve requested and the responses received. This serves as a road map of where you’ve searched and what your next step might be.
Utilize web sites like classmates.com, facebook & myspace when you find names, ages & other information that help narrow down where you’re looking & who you’re looking for.
Best of luck in your search! Feel free to email me. I’ll be happy to help if I can. I did my search in 1983 before the internet.

Namazu (Search Engine) $78.07 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Namazu is a free fulltext search engine software under GPL licence, originally developed by Satoru Takabayashi. It can work as a scale Web search engine, and also as a desktop search for email or other files. It is written in Perl. Computer software, or just software, is the collection of computer programs and related data that provide the instructions telling a computer what to do. The term was coined to contrast to the old term hardware (meaning physical devices). In contrast to hardware, software is intangible, meaning it cannot be touched. Software is also sometimes used in a more narrow sense, meaning application software only. Sometimes the term includes data that has not traditionally been associated with computers, such as film, tapes and records. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F.
