Is Ancestry.com COMPLETELY free?
I’ve been watching that new show here in the U.S. called who do you think you are, and I know they partner with Ancestry.com and I really want to see how far back I can trace my history. I can look up people in my family but it says that in order to see documents, you have to sign up. I f you use ancestry, how do You like it and is easy to use and do you think I will be able to easily find alot of info on my ancestors because I really want to know my roots. If you have any comments or have used Ancestry.com, or know the answer to my question, please let me know!!!
You can get a free 2 week trial membership, but you have to supply credit card info in case you forget to cancel on the 13th day.

WORLD DELUXE MEMBERSHIP
Annual–$299.40
6-month–$161.70
Quarterly (3 months)–$83.85
Monthly–$29.95 (what I pay in order to use ALL their overseas sites with the same user name/password. This means their sites in United Kingdom , Canada–French or English, Australia,
Germany [in German], Italy [Italian], France [French], and Sweden [Swedish]–but luckily the search areas are in the same order as in English, so it’s not hard to figure out what info goes where. It’s just reading the results. LOL. Even so, the world membership is a LOT nicer to have because of the number of databases you can use.
RootsWeb.com–their sister site–IS free to use.
PS–if you need help, send the names you need to me or anyone here in the genealogy section who have memberships (or edit your question), and we can help trace your roots. As to how far back it goes, I went clear back to ADAM (of garden of Eden) the other day.
