What is the best way for me to get donations to help victims of Ike to get their yards put it back together?
I have a company landscape design and would like to donate my time and skills to help fix the areas that are still in bad shape by the hurricane. Most people are still trying to repair their houses and do not have the money to make their yards nice again. I would like to start a fund to install new flowers and trees and barriers for some families who need assistance. The salt water up and killing most of the vegitation in the area has made a monstrosity. If I can raise the cost of materials 10 houses have been rebuilt their yards that I will do all the work on them. It would be a big announcement for me and you can not get better references that people love yard and have had to do for free. I do not know what to do to try to get the cost of the materials together for them.
I have been many events in the work for charitable organizations. I have found the bake sales and garage sales are very successful. You could have your friends and family donate Items that do not need and use the proceeds to help families.
