Family trees and manufacturer of Windows Vista?
Which version of Family Tree Maker is compatible with Vista? I see a lot of FTM 2006 free upgrade to version 16. Is this version compatible with Vista 16?
From what I have understood, it is not compatible yet. But if you have older versions (so do not waste money testing this) you can try to run it on Windows Vista by clicking on it and hit properties. You can not go to the Compatibility tab. Click the Windows version that can run (or if you have worked on) and then click Apply. Now double-click in. Exe and see if it can execute. I'm still playing with all the new features of Vista, so I'm sure what this will do for you … no damage attempt, however, the worst thing you can do is say you can not, and you may need to reboot.
