Where to find the best historical newspapers online?
I have access to the ancestry-dot-com site (paid) and the freebies available at Library of Congress web site. Can anyone recommend additional sources for digital archives of old newspapers–specifically, sources that have newspapers Ancestry does NOT have? Thanks.
Google is now digitizing old newspapers. It is an on-going project. Go to Google News and click on “news archive search”.
Also, check and see if your library has a subscription to Heritage Quest. Often you can access this online from home with your library card number.
