What time do you have to climb back into your family tree?
In my direct line, I'm back to 1708 in Oxfordshire, England. Other families linked to mine (ie, through marriage) have their origin in 1500. Matthew Pinsent was able to trace "the dawn of time" through a long line of English kings, including William the Conqueror. I am still the king of my family (!), But have only found a long history of workers. To what extent do you again, and I have discovered something interesting in your story?
New user? I've been hooked for over 40 years and I love it. I do my two and my husband's family. It has some lines back to 1500-1600 from. Quite to the 1700's and a few solitary to 1800, unfortunately my people. He has discovered a number of "famous" people on the side of my husband. One or two in mine. Did you find that we are connected six times since the early 1600: four times by his cousins married each other twice to aunts / uncles. Found in one of his cousins, who was executed for murder in New Jersey in the decade 1930. Most of us are farmers and teachers, but there are a number of the medical profession on my side. Now I know why I wanted to be a nurse from the age of 6, is in her blood!
