Fire Island, New York $89.22 Fire Island is both the name of an island and the name of a censusdesignated place (CDP). The island is one of Long Islands south shore outer barrier islands, approximately 31 miles (50 km) long and varying between approximately 0.1 mile (160 m) to 0.25 mile (400 m) wide.
