Enjoy the heritage under glass
Greenhouses and conservatories are everywhere. First developed as a tool for agriculture as a symbol of wealth in the 17th century and were seen to influence the contemporary design house since then – so where did these elegant conservatories usable originate?
The greenhouse effect for the first time, or "greenhouse" to use your correct name, was built around 30 CE by the Roman Emperor "Tiberio" to meet their demand for off-season cucumbers! At this point the glass was not really invented and so the spectrum was actually meticulously carried out with Based on small pieces of translucent sheets of mica.
The greenhouse effect for the first time in its current form, however, with glass windows at an angle and a glass roof, was developed in 1500 by Jules Charles. He was a French botanist who built the glass unit to cultivate tropical plants. Built initially by Charles Holland, where the cultivation of exotic fruits and plants was a symbol of extreme wealth.
Industry and Trade dictionary erroneously Beeton informs the public that the first Green House was actually built by Salomon de Caus in 1619 in Heidelberg and used to cover 340 oranges that had been transported in the people – yet the records of the first glass canopy houses dating from much earlier. The oranges were, at this time, a new fruit and orange were developed to combat frost. The greenhouses were dull buildings, which had a removable roof, developed and used to keep exotic fruit trees at the proper temperature throughout the year.
Experimenting with glass walls that happened during the 17th century as the Glass House became fashionable throughout Europe. The glass house style changed to suit the tastes of the aristocracy of the decay and the best quality of glass meant these structures had a dominant presence in the design style of the time. An example of opulence, is the Palace of Versailles, which was designed by Philibert Le Roy under the instruction of Louis XIII in 1624. Eight years later, in 1632, Luis XIII was the lordship of Versailles Gondi family and began to make enlargements to the castle as a large orangery. The Orangerie of Versailles was more than 500 feet long, 42 feet wide and 45 feet high and had a southern exposure for light and heat.
For the glass of the mid-nineteenth century became abundant and the cost Glass houses fell. This was a time dedicated to the illustrious house of glass, which competed for the recognition of the wealth through bold design and the choice of making glass. The practical importance of these early homes for the cultivation of a wide range of food had not yet been discovered and in this time is mainly used to show and grow oranges.
In 1825 the idea had spread across America (the first registered gases in the U.S. was in 1737 and designed by Andrew Faneuil) and was growing increasingly popular around the world. Most were heated by furnaces, however, some remained incorporated into the soil as the former "pit" design and warmed south facing windows without the additional help of fire.
Today, the Glass immensely elegant old buildings have been designed from the ground state of the art materials to create living spaces that are used for everything from kitchens to dining rooms, game rooms from gyms.
Cult TV series Grand Designs magazine and recently introduced the House decagon, a design of much to take tail in the design of the old green house. Mark Austin, Director of Marketing for Windows Hazlemere that supplied the glass for contemporary living in green house, is manifested the influence that this trend has had on contemporary antediluvian design: "The green house is an example of fantastic glass design that virtually has adapted to become a very useful and shed traditional food crops, but the use of glass in these buildings has also affected the design house. It's really wonderful to see how glass is used in less obvious contemporary design and makes our job much more interesting. "
Owners of houses have conservatories that are separated by doors from the rest of the house while others create openings that allow the vast expanse of conservatory to combine perfectly with the interior of the house. Replica models of Victoria, Georgian and Edwardian ended in detail the architectural features, competing for popularity with surprisingly contemporary glass rooms where the emphasis is on creating effects from simple and pure forms. Who knows where the greenhouse story will end, so we can be sure of is that the footprint of this small building has been clever, will influence design contemporary designs of the house and taking innovative and unique way no one can predict.
