Is is possible to save your family tree on ancestry, to your computer as a GEDCOM?
I was wondering if it was possible to save the tree I have made on ancestry.com, to my computer as a GEDCOM file. If it is, could someone show me how? Thanks!
Go to Learning Center > Help – FAQ
and search for “GEDCOM”
Pick ‘Uploading or downloading GEDCOM files on Ancestry.com”
Follow the instructions. If I copy and paste them here you’ll lose all the pictures. Pay particular attention to the line that says
“You may need to right click on the “Download your GEDCOM file” button, and select Save target as… from the menu that appears. “
