How do I get Polish Citizenship through my grandparents?
My Grandparents on my mother’s side were from Poland, born and raised, before they immigrated to the U.S around the 1950s. I want to try to obtain an EU passport. Can I do this through my grandparents ancestry in Poland? I was was born and raised in the U.S. as was my mother. My father does not have any relationship to Poland. Please do not quote the jargon off of the consulate website, I’ve read it and have no idea what it mean or how it applies to me.
You can apply at the Polish consulate that has jurisdiction over where you live. Please be aware that even traveling to Poland for you could mean mandatory military service, taxation, and/or the requirement to obtain a Polish passport among other things.
