Scottish Ancestry
Do the Irish and Scottish share a common history and ancestry as a People?

In other words…..are the Scottish the same people with the Irish and vice versa? And if so would that then make the Irish Scottish and the Scottish Irish as if they are One people with different lands and somewhat different cultures?…..I know they’re both Celtic nations….thats not what im asking.
by common history i mean did they come from the same place….or even did one come from the other?

Yes, the Scottish are descended from an Irish tribe called the Scotti that settled in Scotland after the fall of the Roman Empire
