Irish Citizenship Ancestry
Do you think it’s ever acceptable for an America to immigrate to another nation?

….one that better reflects his values. For example, an American who believes in universal health care, but supports capitalism, marries an Australian and settles in his wife’s country, eventually taking on Australian citizenship. An American who believes in national defense, but not pre-emptive war, marries a Swiss woman and settles in Geneva. An American who believes in low corporate taxes, finds out his grandfather was born in Ireland, and receives Irish citizenship as a result and resettles in Galway and starts his own business. An American of Japanese ancestry who loves homogeneity decides to settle in Japan and work as an English teacher. What do you think of these people? Are they unpatriotic filth who should be reviled or are they just sensible people making a better life for themselves?

Most of us.. where ever we are from .. have had ancestors that have come from somewhere else.. ( and before anybody else says it… I only have ONE known convict ancestor.. all other known ancestors were free-settlers and came to AU on their own accord)…

If people want to move around the globe… and a nation allows them to become a citizen… It doesn’t bother me…

I have Irish, English and Scottish heritage.. But I can’t see myself wanting to *go back*
