Bursztyn is in Ukraine (now), but again in 1800 was Poland or Ukraine? (Need information Research Family Tree). I'm trying to know my ethnicity.
Hey, I checked the Polish version of Wikipedia and how I understand that, Bursztyn was a city in Poland until September 17, 1939. He is now in Ukraine. My family is originally from Lvov (Lvov), which was a Polish city until 1939 too. A large number of regions of Poland were given to neighbors WWII. After 1800? Poland was carved in the 18th century in the years 1772-1795 and "disappeared" from the majority of global maps of approx.120 years
