A good place to find family history / ancestry of family trees online for free?

I tried many sites but are useless or you have to pay to be for nothing. Does anyone have any idea?

Web sites are useful but should not be your only source. Be very careful with information in family trees on any website, free or paid. The trees are submitted by people like you and me and most of the information is not documented. There are errors in the trees. You may receive different information from the same person. However, too often you will see the same information and again by different petitioners without documentation. That means that stupid people are copying without verifying. Use the information as clues about where to obtain documentation. Your public library may have a subscription to Ancestry.Com for use. They have many albums. They appear to be increasing all the time. They all censuses through 1930. The 1940 is not available to the public yet. Also, if you do not have, call your Latter Day Saints (Mormon) Church and find out if they have a Family History Center. They have records of people over parts of the world, not just Mormons. In Salt Lake City with the largest genealogical library the world. Your Family History Centers can order microfilm for you to view a very nominal price. They do not bring their religion and will not send their missionaries to ring your bell the door. While in the Family History Center, will have an excellent opportunity to talk to people who can give good tips and advice. The LDS has a site free good site, FamilySearch.org. Cyndi's List also has a lot of web sites for you to check.
