Help with genealogy? :]?
I started tracing my family ancestry 3 months ago, and it was going fine until reached a certain generation. I can’t seem to find any info earlier than 1850.
The main person I am looking for is Felepe (or Felipe) Alfaro Y Calero. He was born in Puerto Rico in 1847. However, I’m almost completely sure his father was born in Spain. I’ve already found records from three US census’s with the records of who was living in his house at the time. The issue is not really him as much as it is finding his father. I have no idea how though!
If you find any information, that would be amazing! But tips on how to find his father would be greatly appreciated as well. :]
1910 census says his Father was born in Spain but his Mother was born in Puerto Rico. This may mean his parents were married in Puerto Rico and both may have died there also. I would try to find the Father’s death certificate which may give his father’s name and birthplace.
