Texas Census
Should the Census Bureau count illegal immigrants?

WASHINGTON – Texas, Florida and Arizona each stand to gain an extra congressional seat in the next Census count because of their large illegal immigrant populations, according to a recent study. Conversely, states like Ohio, Michigan and Missouri could each lose a seat because they have fewer illegal immigrants. Is this fair? Some groups don’t think so.As the Census Bureau gears up to count every person in the United States in 2010, some are wondering if the government should include the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the total. The Census numbers will be used to allocate billions of dollars in education, road construction, health care, and other government spending. It will also be used to determine congressional districts.

It would be far better to send the people who are breaking the laws back home and then they can return when they do it legally. I am sick and tired of providing all kinds of benefits for illegals when I can’t afford them for my own family. The latest news, as of today, is that the Dems are pushing for new amnesty laws which will provide illegals with the right to bring ALL of their relatives here, they will be permitted to get student loans and lower rates for country colleges, among all the other very expensive benefit packages that they are willing to offer at our expense!! This is insanity!! Illegals are law breakers and need to go home. We are paying so much to educate and provide for them. I am not heartless but, they should not be permitted to break the law. I am all for legal immigration. Why should these people be permitted to jump ahead of those who are abiding by the law in order to come here? Don’t count them; send them back.
