Is there a data base in India to trace family trees?
as in western countries .. are databases that help people trace their family trees up to 5-6 generations .. grandparents, great and great great grandparents. no database or any other means to trace family trees in India? I know I have relatives, uncles, aunts, cousins somewhere in India but is a bit painful that I just dont know them! who knows my uncle is responding to this question but I do not know who is my uncle. All I know is my dad's mom is Sikkal, Nagapatnam. but we have lost touch with the people there make a decade. my father said that his grandfather is from Salem, but not very secure.
Actually, I'm taking my family tree my great pa Grande to the son of my niece and the daughter (five generations), which is a widely distributed. With her help, our relatives used to locate family members as well. To my knowledge no There is no such database is available here. Because her father is from Salem, if you really want to know his father's family can only send one e-mail me the details, since my native Salem is also a period of enormous relatives around Salem, Erode, Coimbatore and I can able to locate 99%.
