UK Ancestry Visa?
I am in the UK on a UK Ancestry Visa. I was issued with a four year visa. I now need a £395.00 one year extension before I can apply for the £750.00 residency permit.
What is the name of the form that I need to fill out for my one year extension?
All these new visa requirements are just crazy. I’m so tempted to just pack up and go back to Canada.
It’s funny how it seems every other cat and dog from around the world can stroll on in here so easily. I think I should just leave you guys to them. You can have them all.

If you were applying now to enter the UK on the basis of ancestry you would be given a visa for 5 years and would then be able to apply for ILR (indefinite leave to remain) – see page http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/ukresidency/eligibility/unitedkingdomancestry/
Given that you are now caught between the change of rules you might want to seek guidance from your local Citizens Advice Bureau who should be able to identify the appropriate action to take.
Note that if you do have to apply for an extension then this must be done BEFORE your current visa expires.
