What is a great world history book?
I’m looking for a 1-volume work, something very fun and readable. I’m hoping the book can bring world history to life. Something like Kenneth C. Davis’ “Don’t Know Much About History” but for world history.
The worlds pretty good sized- if you’re looking for something fun and WATCHABLE you might as well play Mel Brooks “History of the world Part 1″ and explain the difference between the Farce of the movie and what really happened in real life.
Example: in the movie Harvy Kormans character says “Don’t get saucy with me, Bernase!”- a play on Bernase sause, obviously.
And lets face it- its GOOD TO BE THE KING!
